PROTHETIC TREATMENTS
CROWN
If there is no missing tooth, however, the tooth is decayed or injured to an extent that it may not be restored by an aesthetic filling or inlay, preparing a crown is recommended. Crown is a type of dental prothesis that covers the adequately prepared tooth and provides the desired tooth form. Regarding the crown material, it may be metal-porcelain or metal-free porcelain. The most frequently used metal is titanium or gold – which cause no allergic reaction as these are highly tissue-friendly – and chrome-cobalt alloy. Preparing a crown takes a week.
METAL-CERAMIC CROWN
The basis of the metal-ceramic crown is metal. A porcelain covering of the same colour as that of the teeth is applied onto this thus metal provides the bearing capacity of the crown whereas the covering material gives the aesthetic effect. Due to the metal basis the transparency of metal-ceramic crown is significantly lower than that of natural teeth.
CHROME-COBALT CROWN
The chrome-cobalt crown also consists of two parts: a nickel-free chrome-cobalt alloy frame and a ceramic covering. The ceramic completely covers the metal frame thus the hardness of the metal and the aesthetics of the ceramic allows preparing a high quality prothesis.
TITANIUM-CERAMIC CROWN
Titanium ceramic combination is a novelty in the field of metal ceramic crowns. This metal causes no allergy, it is a natural material and may be perfectly applied for preparing crown frames. In this case as well, the frame receives a ceramic covering that provides the perfect aesthetic effect.
GOLD-CERAMIC CROWN
The frame of gold-ceramic crown is made from galvanized gold, it causes no allergy, and it is tissue-friendly. The stable gold frame receives a porcelain covering, which provides the perfect aesthetic effect.
CERAMIC CROWN
The ceramic crown meets high aesthetic requirements. Contrary to the metal-ceramic crown, its frame is not metal but ceramic that is highly permeable to light, thus the crown appears to be a “natural tooth”.
ZIRCONIUM
The ceramic crown burnt on a zirconium-oxide frame is able to meet the highest aesthetic demands. Its stability is similar to that of metal-ceramic and gold-ceramic protheses, and it also allows preparing multi-member bridges. It has perfect light transmitting abilities, thus it looks almost the same as natural teeth in the prothesis. www.cercon.de
INLAY
Inlay is a great filling prepared by the Dental Technician, precisely fitting into the tooth. The main point about it is perfect aesthetic harmony with the hardness and beauty of natural teeth.
CERAMIC INLAY
This inlay type provides the most perfect and most aesthetic tooth replacement. The inlay seems to be a perfectly sound tooth, being almost invisible. It is made to match the colour of patient’s tooth.
COMPOSITE INLAY
The composite inlay provides perfect aesthetic experience. It has high wearing resistance, and is the same colour as the tooth. The basic material mainly includes ceramic grains.
GOLD INLAY
Gold is tissue-friendly, and accepted by the human organism to the greatest extent thus it is the most ideal, precise and long-lasting prothesis material. Even today it is considered to be the healthiest inlay type.
COMPOSITE FILLING
The original form and state of decayed teeth can be restored by means of filling. The greatest advantage of white-coloured composite fillings is the perfect aesthetic effect.
PROFESSIONAL TOOTH WHITENING
The American tooth whitening procedure named Opalescence provides safe and careful whitening. This treatment takes place under medical attendance. The highly efficient tooth whitening gel only enters into reaction with the colour substance of the tooth but not with tooth tissues thus teeth will not be damaged during tooth whitening. The result is wonderfully white glowing teeth. www.opalescence.com
DENTAL HYGIENE AND AESTHETIC TREATMENTS
TARTAR REMOVAL
Tartar removal is one of the most basic treatments.
Calcification of the plaque on the tooth surface may result in tartar formation. Tartar removal is essential for preventing inflammation, gum recession, and paradontosis, and preserving healthy teeth. This formation may only be removed in a dental surgery room, by means of professional tools, the treatment is painless.
DENTAL SANDBLASTING
During dental sandblasting discolouration accumulated on the tooth enamel is removed by the help of the sand blasting equipment. This treatment is painless, not harmful to the hard tissues of the tooth, and provides extremely thorough cleaning even at the inaccessible tooth gaps.
REMOVABLE COMPLETE, PARTIAL PROTHESIS
Removable complete or partial prothesis is prepared when the extent of tooth missing does not allow the application of a fixed bridge. Removable complete and partial protheses are of different types, in every case it is possible to recommend the most appropriate solution to the patient. Removable partial prothesis is fixed to the remaining teeth in a detachable way. The base plate can be metal or plastic framed, the method of fixing may be by means of wire hooks or hidden anchoring. If patient does not have any own teeth at all, removable complete prothesis is needed. Its basis is mainly plastic that fits onto the gum.
